13th Annual Boston Harbor Striper Shootout
The Boston Harbor Striper Shootout is among us once again. The tournament is scheduled for Father’s Day Weekend, Saturday, June 18 with its mandatory Captain’s Meeting and BBQ Friday, June 17 at Admiral’s Hill Marina Chelsea.
The Shootout will commence at 12:01 am for anyone who actually wants to get started that early and will end at 5pm.
Remember, proceeds from the shootout go to the Veterans Northeast Outreach Center in Haverhill, whose mission is to help homeless veterans. The Veterans Administration estimates that nationally there are nearly 76,000 veterans that lack shelter on any given night. In Massachusetts 12% of the homeless on our streets are veterans. That equates to nearly 2,000 veterans who have no place to call home. The Boston Harbor Striper Shootout supports our veterans, we believe in the programs John Ratka, Master Chief at Veterans Northeast Outreach Center, Inc. provide for our homeless veterans, and this year we are asking for your help.
