The following is a list of the best places to stay when fishing the destinations we describe in the show.
- Block Island, RI - The Springhouse Hotel: The Springhouse Hotel (401 466-5844) is considered one of the islands most elegant historic landmarks. It offers a perfect combination of contemporary amenities and island allure. Victorian charm emanates from the property's two historic buildings and their 50 rooms, studios and suites. The main building houses thirty-nine guest rooms as well as a lobby, formal dining room and distinctive Victoria's Parlor. The rooms, food, and drink were strictly top shelf!
- Block Island, RI - Block Island Boat Basin: The Block Island Boat Basin (401-466-2631) is our first choice when we stay in Block Island. It is the 2nd marina on the right (west) as you reach the southern end of the New Harbor channel. The marina has concrete floating piers and ice and fuel can be bought. It also has a general store stock with groceries & marina supplies. The Oar Restaurant is also located at the Boat Basin & offers breakfast, lunch & dinners both indoors & outside. A must place to visit if only for a drink at the bar and at look at the interior decor.
- Montauk, NY - Montauk Manor: Simply the finest accommodations in Montauk! The Montauk Manor (631 668-4400) has everything; indoor and outdoor pools, fitness center, spa, Jacuzzi, tennis and squash courts, golf driving range and putting green, a beautiful fine restaurant and bar, and the nicest rooms and suites in Montauk. This should be everyone's first choice when traveling to the east end. No other hotel even comes close. It is located only a few steps away from the train station and they even have a complimentary jitney service.
- Montauk NY - Gone Fishing Marina: Absolutely everything you need when fishing Montauk can found found at the Gone Fishing Marina (631-668-3232). Launching ramp, 180 slips, fuel (diesel and gas), ice, water, premium bait for every species, huge selection of tackle, food, beverages, boat and fully stocked ships store. You do not have to go anywhere else! They are a full service marina with a 25ton travel lift and mechanics on duty 7 days a week. - Cape May, NJ - The Buckingham Motel: Stay at the Buckingham Motel (609-884-4073) Take advantage of Cape May's varied seashore activities and things to do like dolphin and bird watching, fishing and boat trips, bicycling and surfing, plus the arts and history, tours, festivals, theaters and much more....or just relax, on the sparkling white sandy beaches, with a good book. Walking Distance to Restaurants, Shopping, Convention Hall, Fishing Areas & Cape May's Historic District. The best rates at the beach!
- Point Pleasant, NJ - The Surfside Motel: The Surfside Motel (732-899-1109) is a family-operated establishment known for providing some of the cleanest motel accommodations on the Jersey Shore. They are committed to making their guests as comfortable as possible. Beautiful air-conditioned rooms, a heated pool, free beach passes, and they are located in walking distance of the beach and boardwalk, and many fine restaurants. They even have seasonal specials that are prefect for the traveling fisherman!
- Narragansett Bay, RI - The Village Inn: The Village Inn (401-783-6767) at Narragansett Pier is nested above the beautiful waters of Narragansett Bay and is located only minutes away from Point Judith. It should be everyone's first choice when staying anywhere in the area! It features spacious contemporary rooms, pool, restaurant, lounge with open air cocktailing (overlooking the water), and much more. We have stayed here several times and have never been disappointed!
