Day 4 of 15 – Galapagos Islands- At Least We Ate Well

Striped Marlin – Flat Dead Calm

The ridiculously calm conditions finally gave way to a weather change we pretty much shutdown the fishing for a day. Five boats went out to the bank and only Pete Santini’s boat hooked anything (typical). My boat saw a couple of fish, and broke off our lucky purple/blue Iland Express lure. Santini cried like a baby when I told him…

We headed out to our third different restaurant in a many nights, the food was great, but the company was better. Three guys from the first group were on their way out (six more leaving tomorrow) and our next group friends had arrived. Put 15 guys at a table, add some adult beverages, and you got yourself a party…we plan on topping that tomorrow night…

The food and drink in San Cristobal are excellent and inexpensive (the rooms are reasonable too). My two favorite dining spots are Rositas and the Miconia. Both are truly top notch.

Fishing isn’t always about catching fish! Sometimes it’s not really what you catch, but who shares the experience with you (male bonding or some crap like that…).

I guarantee we are going to crush them tomorrow…
