Mitch Wergiles and Steve Palmo went out to the Santini Bank for the second straight day and once again Pete Santini put them on the striped marlin. The fish were certainly more aggressive than the prior day, but it was still very tough to get them to attack. The conditions remain flat calm and this certainly seems to be a factor. The crew worked incredibly hard and they still ended up hooking 5 big striped marlin. The hot lure was a green Iland Lure Express from Iland Lures with mylar. The extra flash helped make the lure more visible back in the spread. Tomorrow is the final day of marlin fishing and once again Santini intends to put them on a blue marlin. We will see if he still has some magic left.
