“The seas were lousy and Capt Lou G and his crew took a long time to complete our rendezvous. Unfortunately, it started raining and we had to put the cameras away. While we are waiting for the rain to stop I hook this fish and then precede to hold it 150ft down until the cameras are ready which is at least 20 minutes. During this time I realize we forgot to put the correct fighting belts aboard and now I only have an lightweight inshore belt to wrangle this fish which is now completely revived. Needless to stay it almost killed me. I have wrestled much bigger yellowfin on the same outfit with the correct belt and crushed them. The lesson here is simple; bring the correct gear and put as much pressure as possible on all tunas at all times!!!” Capt Andy LoCascio
