Selecting the Proper Net Mesh
Get the most out of your fishing nets by selecting the proper mesh based on the species and technique you are using.
- Mesh 1″ and larger are perfect for big striped bass and small tuna
- Mesh smaller than 1″ are better suited for fish such as weakfish
- “Micromesh” is the perfect choice for bottom fish since most rigs have free swinging weights which call fall through larger mesh and get tangled
- Heavy duty tangle-free mesh is perfect to fish with teeth so that they cannot destroy your net
