Gardiners Island, NY Porgies – 2003
The August 5 visit to historic Montauk Point, Long Island was quite successful. Andy and Rich’s guest, Capt. Joel Lizza of the Sea Otter Fleet, put them on a pile of big Porgies off of Gardiners Island. Calm seas and excellent conditions really turned the fish on. The action was incredible the entire time and only slowed when the chum ran low. Numerous double headers and two pound Porgies illustrate what a great fishery this has become. All of the fish were caught anchored at depths under 25 feet. If you have questions about any of the equipment used during the show, please contact us.
