Striped Bass Fishing | Hartford CT Topwater Striped Bass

The May 12 visit to Hartford, Connecticut was quite an eye opener! Andy and Rich thought that their guest, Jordan Paullo, had built up this bite to the point where there was no way it would ever match their expectations. They were wrong! Even before they arrived at the spot, birds were seen working over the teen size striped bass blowing herring and alewives right out of the water. They had an overcast sky and the bite continued throughout the day. Nearly all of the action was on surface plugs and the strikes were incredible with fish up to 20lbs.
