Raritan Bay, NJ – Stripers – 2005

Striped Bass FishingAndy and Rich travel south to hook up with Captain Brian Rice of Jersey Devil Charters (732) 996-6372) for some great spring striper action in Raritan Bay and under the Verrazano Narrows bridge. The fish were all caught on chunks in depths over 35ft. The action is continuous and they land several big fish up to 30lbs! If you have questions about any of the equipment used during the show, please contact us.

The spring striper bite in the Hudson River and Raritan Bay is legendary.  The bite can be lock and load though sometimes the bluefish can be a real nuisance.  Chunking and live-lining are certainly the most effective methods, but there is also plenty of plugging and trolling action.
